Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 9 at a global event on 30 April. This smartphone is the newest member of the Redmi Note 9 series. Earlier, the company had launched Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, in this series. Since launching the Redmi Note 9 in the global market, the company had not shared any information about its arrival in Nepal, but now Xiaomi Nepal launched the phone in Nepali market. The phone hasn’t launched in India yet but the expected price of this device in India is INR. 11,999 for a 3/64GB variant and INR 13,499 for a 4/128GB variant. For now, Xiaomi has lunched the 4/128GB variant and other variant is expected to arrive soon. Design and Display
Redmi Note 9 looks almost similar to Redmi Note 9 Pro in terms of the overall look. The phone has now come up with a punch hole for the selfie camera. This might be the first Redmi phone with a punch hole. There is a tiny punch hole at the top left corner for the selfie camera placement which has made the phone look more beautiful. There is Gorilla Glass 5 on either side which is enclosed by the plastic frame.

Redmi Note 9 is powered by Helio G85 SoC which is based on a 12nm platform. This chipset is almost similar to that of Redmi Note 8 Pro’s Helio G90T Octa-core chipset. The new Helio G85 has a 2x2.05 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6x2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 CPU along with a Mali-G76 MC4 GPU.
The phone is launched in the global market with MIUI 11 based on Android 10. For the memory, you’ll get either 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 64 and 128GB of internal storage. There are altogether two variants of the phone on the basis of storage - 3/64GB and 4/128GB.
Redmi Note 9 has a quad-camera setup, whose primary camera is equipped with a 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 sensor. It includes an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. Redmi Note 9 has a 13-megapixel selfie camera.
You can capture 1080p videos at 30 with the primary camera. The picture quality can be expected to be decent as the phone has used tried and tested image sensor.
