Daraz Now Accepts Online Payments via eSewa

Nepal’s largest e-commerce platform, Daraz Nepal, has started accepting online payments from eSewa. From now on, you can pay the bills via e-services when purchasing goods from the site. Daraz Nepal has been providing sales and delivery service of various items in an online order in the major cities across the country.

Earlier, the company had been accepting only the card and the cash on delivery payment options for the payments of the orders. As soon as the collaboration between Daraz and eSewa started, eSewa is now available as a payment option when ordering goods from Daraz’s app and website.

How to pay with eSewa in Daraz?

Payment for the purchase in Daraz with eSewa is the same as you had been doing with other options. Here are the steps for the payment via eSewa in Daraz’s app and website.

  1. Go to Daraz and select the items you want to purchase.
  2. Add items to the shopping cart and select proceed to pay for the payment.
  3. Select the eSewa mobile wallet in the payment option.
  4. Login to your eSewa account with your eSewa ID and password
  5. Enter the OTP (one time password) sent to your mobile number in which you’ve registered eSewa

This feature was one of the seriously needed services in Daraz. Almost every smartphone users in Nepal with active internet accessibility have an eSewa app installed on their phone. As per eSewa, there are more than 3 million active users and this is a huge number of potential customers for Daraz as well. eSewa is well known for its go-to platform for multiple payments such as utility bill, mobile top us, airplane/bus tickets, movie tickets, hotel booking to name a few.

Daraz said it will gradually add other digital payment service providers to its system. Although other e-commerce sites have already started accepting online payments, Daraz has only recently begun to do so. However, the company was the first to accept Nepali cards to accept as payment systems on the e-commerce site.
